PASTELS

In my art experience, I strive to paint intentionally, and meaningfully. And pastels are a joy! With watercolor you start with the lights first...with pastels you start with the darks, adding the magical highlights at the end. I often work back and forth between the two…it keeps me focused and aware of the process as I paint.
